Description
For grades 1 to 3
An intimate puppet performance of Now That I Can Ride a Bike in the comfort of your own school.
A young squirrel named Gab has a day full of possibilities! Most especially, the big neighbourhood 'ruelle verte' party that evening. But that’s ages away, and Gab can ride a bike now! She can go anywhere she wants: she could get ice cream; she could visit the Little Free Library; she could practice bike tricks with her friend Noah. She could go and go and go, ride and ride and ride until…THUD!
Now That I Can Ride a Bike is a puppet show for audiences aged 5 to 9 years old. It follows Gab as she pushes her newly found autonomy to the limit. How does she balance everything that she's excited about with the realities of what she needs? Just because you can balance on a bike, doesn't mean you’re ready to balance it all.
- Review Phase for Personnel Targeted (two post-show workshops of 60 minutes each will be offered to each participating class. these dynamic theatre workshops will use theatre and creativity to explore themes of autonomy, trust and interdependence, balance, and urban ecosystems. workshops will take place in the classroom and will be scheduled individually by each school., date to be determined, 60 min, School, in-person)
